Hot air ballooning is extremely dependent upon weather!
Unfortunately, this can sometimes lead to cancelling a flight in order to keep everyone safe. Here are the next steps you can take if your hot air balloon ride has been cancelled during the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta®.
If you are unable to reschedule, we can issue a refund for your flight minus a $40 non-refundable processing fee per reservation.
Normally, this fee is per person, but we understand how disappointing a cancellation can be, so we lessened that fee as much as possible in an effort to ease that disappointment!
The amount you can expect will be everything minus the Ryders Club fee ($145 per person).
This will not be refunded because that can still be enjoyed even in the event of a weather cancellation!

Availability during Balloon Fiesta is limited. Please see below for the most up-to-date availability. If there is a day you would like to try, even if we’re sold out, you will have priority on our stand by list because your previous flight was cancelled.
Come by our balloon rides tent at Balloon Fiesta Park around 4:45 am to get your name on the list. This is first-come, first-serve, in-person only (we cannot add your name to the list the day before). We are usually able to get the first few names (if not more) on a balloon ride each morning! Please remember, many others who had cancelled flights may be trying to get their name on the list as well.
